Krieger Bräu – artisan brewing culture in the heart of Lower Bavaria

We are a small family-run brewery in the heart of Lower Bavaria. The brewery started up at least in 1622 and is now owned by the Krieger/Sturm family in the fourth generation. We are committed to artisan tradition and quality.

We therefore still brew our beer traditionally in the copper brewhouse using the multi-step mashing and then ferment it in the conventional way in open vats. In addition, we use cone hops, which is a rarity today. This is more complex than modern techniques, but it also means that our beer keeps its genuine traditional flavour.

In our brewery we do not use flash pasteurisation or pasteurisation, therefore our beer is a fresh product.
Our most popular varieties are Krieger Hell (light beer) and Krieger Weißbier (white beer), but we also enjoy brewing other specialties.

With our Floriani-Bock we have already won the silver medal in the two toughest beer competitions in the world. While we craft our traditional Bavarian varieties, we also go beyond and try new hop varieties and wood barrel matured beers.

As a small artisan brewery, we would be happy about your support and invite you to taste our beers.
